When I swam at Age Group Championships, those other girls were really fast. This meet was in Hollister, CA which was over 6 hours away from our house!

The first day of the swim meet, I swam the 50 free, 100 back, and the 400 free. Before I swam the 400 fr, I was pumped. I was confident and had been waiting for this event. When I swam it, I was tired. Those girls that I was racing were FAST. At the end, I had cut 6 seconds.

For my 50 fr, I didn't get the best time in the world but, I did good. I added a few hundredths of a second, but I tried and that's all that matters. Before, I wasn't very focused. When I was swimming, I got tired but when I looked, I saw my family and friends cheering for me so I kept on going. At the end, I had seen that did good.

I also swam the 100 back. For this one, I probably could've gone faster but, I had just swam the 50 free. At the start, I was in the zone. When I was swimming, I kinda slowed down. But at the end, I brought it home.

When I wasn't swimming, I was watching the other kids swim. Also watching the other Humboldt kids like Felix, Nathan, and Huck. This meet was a great experience for me and this blog was only the first day and I'm sure I will have more stories like this one.
